One day it’s a useful thing people actually like. Then suddenly it has to feed investors, hit targets, squeeze more out of the same users, and everyone acts surprised when it starts getting worse.
That’s usually where the enshittification clock starts ticking.
A very small number of people benefit from IPOs. To me, the biggest losers are the loyal v0 users, as cash-flush startups stop "exploring" innovation and begin "exploiting" every potential revenue source.
